Helping Every Child Find Their Voice

At Emmanuel Family & Child Development Center, we believe that strong communication skills are key to a child’s academic, social, and emotional development. That’s why we offer on-site speech and language therapy services to support children who may experience difficulties with talking, listening, understanding, or expressing themselves.

Our goal is to ensure that every child—regardless of background or ability—has the tools to communicate clearly and confidently.

In Partnership with Rockhurst University

​

We proudly partner with the Rockhurst University Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Department to provide high-quality, research-based speech therapy services on-site.

​

As part of their graduate training, Master's level students in Rockhurst’s SLP program complete required clinic hours working directly with Emmanuel students. These sessions are supervised by certified, licensed speech-language pathologists, ensuring expert care and professional oversight.

This unique collaboration not only gives students valuable clinical experience—it also allows our center to provide expanded, individualized services to more children.
