Our Pre-Kindergarten and K-12 summer school program children and youth have been
very busy exploring in Kansas City via our Emmanuel bus. They have taken several field
trips to the Prairie Fire Museum for interactive science activities, Lincoln University for college campus visits and information about applying to college, Children’s Mercy Hospital to take funds Pre-K children raised for kids with cancer with their summer lemonade stand, the Lyric Program for character development and emotional regulation activities and yes, to McDonald's for an ice cream cone! And our teachers have taken the bus to the School Smart Co-op professional development program.
We thank our Emmanuel Friends Tom and Michelle Stowers for providing funding for
bus fuel for six months!
