Physical Health Services at Emmanuel

In partnership with Swope Health:

At Emmanuel Family & Child Development Center, we are committed to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Through our partnership with Swope Health, we provide high-quality, accessible physical health services right here on campus. This ensures that students receive timely care in a familiar, supportive environment, reducing barriers like transportation and time away from learning.

What We Offer: ​

Our on-site clinic provides a wide range of preventative and responsive health services, including:

School Physicals & Health Assessments

  • Required physicals for enrollment and participation in school activities

  • Developmental screenings to track growth and milestones

  • General health check-ups throughout the year

Vaccinations & Immunization Support

  • Routine childhood vaccines to protect against illnesses such as measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, polio, and more

  • Seasonal flu shots

  • Immunization record tracking and updates

Dental Care & Screenings

  • On-site dental checkups provided by licensed dental professionals

  • Teeth cleaning, fluoride treatments, and oral hygiene education

  • Referrals for follow-up dental care when needed

 Who Provides Care

​All services are administered by licensed healthcare professionals from Swope Health, a trusted community health provider in Kansas City. Their team works closely with our staff and families to ensure every child receives the care they need in a safe, respectful, and child-friendly setting.

Supporting Families

We believe families are essential partners in a child's health journey. Our clinic staff will:

  • Keep parents informed of all health visits and findings

  • Share resources and referrals for outside care when necessary

  • Assist with scheduling follow-ups or accessing additional services
