Here at Emmanuel, we are very proud of our AmeriCorps members!
Our members are a vital part of achieving our mission of ensuring that children are Kindergarten Ready. Members play a key role in a number of activities including involvement in our awareness and service events, educational activities and creatively serving our children and families. help expand our one-on-one interactions with children in the classroom so that teachers can focus on the group as a whole. The Members work to support the social, emotional, mental and cognitive development of children.
AmeriCorps is a national network of community-based programs that engage Americans of all ages in results-driven service. All AmeriCorps programs are united in the common goal of getting things done to help communities address challenges in the areas of education, public safety, human needs, and the environment. The AmeriCorps network strengthens communities by bringing together people from all backgrounds to solve problems at the local level, encourages responsibility through service and civic education, and expands opportunity by helping to make education more affordable.
Serving as an AmeriCorps Member with Emmanuel can provide you with an opportunity to complete practicum hours, an internship or just get more experience in the field you look to join. Plus, being an AmeriCorps Member strengthens your resume with valuable experience and looks great to future employers. Other benefits include a monthly living stipend and an Education Award that can be used for student loans or college tuition.
